In the future, maybe there will be people like medieval monks who live apart from society, exalted and respected in a similar way. These people will not use the Internet and they will be the only ones with the mental capacity and stamina to read entire books. They will be the keepers of human knowledge and history.

Or maybe everyone will know entire books because they will download them straight into their brain, like Keanu Reeves learning kung fu in The Matrix.
